No shows, no hits, no misses :) 'Colleen' did have an operation to remove a growth on her eye lid. She's A OK. Feb. 2010 No shows for us this month but GO TEAM CANADA at the Winter 2010 Olympics! Thats allot of Gold my friends and we pirates love shiny things! March 2010 'Mabel' and I helped out at the CKC Living Legends booth at the Purina National in Toronto April 2010 'Mabel' receives her OVC hip and elbow pass. She also get to the Victoria County KC show but really enjoyed the run in the woods far better! LOL 'Teena' helps out representing Labradors down at Pawsway 'Meet The Retrievers' day. May 2010 Some sad news this month,'Colleen' has been diagnosed with bone cancer. Vet suspects 6 months at the most but she is in very good spirits and shape considering. I hope its a nice summer as it will be her last. June 2010 LOC Specialty Show in early June had some ribbons come our way. 'Teena', managed to go Best Veterans in Sweeps under breeder/judge Charlotte Ryan, Gaff. She also placed 3rd Veterans Bitch under Mary Cox, Lenches and the following day 4th Veterans Bitch under Marion Hopkinson, Rocheby. 'Mabel' placed 4th in Bred By Bitch under Mary Cox, Lenches and then 2nd Bred By Bitch(to RWB) under Marion Hopkinson, Rocheby. July2010 'Colleen' is painlessly helped across the Rainbow Bridge as the bone cancer gets the better of her. :( Sad times EOLBA Specialty end of July='Cora', makes first cut in Specials both days. Judges Barbara Gilchrist, Blackthorn and Sue Williamson, Willcare. 'Mabel' placed 3rd in Bred By Bitch under Barbara Gilchrist, Blackthorn and then wins 3pts for WB on the Sunday of the Limestone KC under Australian Golden judge Mrs. Beryl Hession. August 2010 Just a few all breed shows for 'Mabel' and no exciting results. We have been exploring a few possible stud dogs for Cora's upcoming breeding in late 2010. |
